Wanderlust Pet Services
Pet sitting and dog walking in the Sumner, Bonney Lake, Puyallup area.
Wanderlust Pet Services is owned and operated by Jen Carr. Jen has years of experience as a licensed veterinary technician, pet sitter and dog walker, as well as being owned by the dogs of Wanderlust Shilohs. Jen took a 12 year break from pet care services while raising a couple children and excelling in the pet medical insurance world. Previously, Wanderlust was DoodleDogs in Bothell WA and Critter Care Pet Services in Round Rock TX and Warsaw IN. Jen has taken time off to show and compete with her dogs, whelp and raise the next generation of shilohs, and refocus life. Joy is brought by hands on pet care, so she’s returned to her roots.
When you need to leave your pets behind, Wanderlust Pet Services is happy to help. Pet Sitting includes feeding and watering pets, giving outside time, collecting mail, watering plants, turning on and off lights/changing front shades, clean litter boxes, etc. Wanderlust doesn't charge by the number of pets, but by the time it takes to properly care for them. Keep in mind, the more pets you have, the more time it will take.
Before we care for your pets, we need to meet and make sure it’s the right fit. Prior to your first visit, we’ll schedule a 15-30 minute, no cost meet and greet at your home. We’ll get to know each other, and I’ll learn about your pet(s)’ routines. If you decide to use Wanderlust, plan on providing a key at this time.
Visit usually has enough time for feeding, letting out, play time and household tasks. May not include enough time for a walk.
This is a longer visit, and depending on how many pets, may include time for a walk.
Quick midday potty break, great for dogs that can't hold "it" all day.
Depends on the pet's needs. Most have no cost. Services such as fluid administration and diabetic care may have additional fees- we’ll discuss each pet’s needs at the time of the visit.
If you are wandering for a while, there’s a 20% discount on services when booked for 7 or more days.
Most dogs love walks, but sometimes getting the walks can be difficult- work, being a parent, disability, etc. Wanderlust Pet Service is happy to help out! We’ll set up a timeframe during the day when we will walk your pups.

Based on scheduling availabilty
Adventure walks are 60 minute nature hikes for your pet, at area trails. The fee includes pick up and transport costs, as well.
Depending on schedule availability, pet sitting may be available in your home, overnight. Your pet sitter will arrive by 6 pm and stay through the night until 7am (minimum). If there are a lot of other pet sitting services scheduled already, this is not available in order to care for other pets. If owners are flexible, arrangements may be available during those times.
Wanderlust sitters live with Shilohs, a mini aussie, cats and goats. On occasion, we are able to board dogs at our home. This is usually reserved for puppies, small dogs and well socialized dogs. A meet and greet is required prior to booking any boarding, and will require advanced notice and approval.
